JLN the following remarks it is proposed to deal with the extent to which venereal disease prevails in the Army in India, the nature of venereal disease, its dangers, and the various means of preventing it. On three occasions in our experience during the last few years in one way or another the question of venereal disease in the Army cropped up in conversation with officers of average intelligence, and we were surprised at the little that is known about this class of diseases.
